Leica with Community: Flash Photowalk with PPPC

Meeting Location: H&M, Lot 10, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur

8:00 – 8:30 PM: Meet-up at Bukit Bintang (H&M, Lot10)

• Assemble at the H&M, Lot 10 area facing the Bukit Bintang intersection.
• Quick registration and group introduction by the Leica Store Kuala Lumpur and PPPC team.
• Short briefing on safety, public courtesy, and handling flash equipment in crowded night environments.
• Participants can test their flash setup, adjust camera settings, and get tips before the walk begins.

8:30 – 10:30 PM: Flash Photowalk – The Streets of Bukit Bintang

• Guided session exploring Bukit Bintang’s nightlife, neon lights, and fast-moving energy.
• Participants learn how to work with on-camera flash for both street and portrait photography.
• Techniques covered include:
  • Direct Flash – capturing bold, high-contrast moments with strong visual impact.
  • Flash + Shutter Drag – blending ambient light and motion trails for dynamic, cinematic effects.
• PPPC mentors will demonstrate different approaches to lighting subjects, controlling shadows, and maintaining the natural rhythm of the streets.
• Focus areas: street vendors, reflections, crosswalks, motorbike scenes, and nightlife textures.
• The group will move together along Jalan Bukit Bintang, Changkat, and nearby alleys — balancing practice with creative freedom.

10:30 PM – 11:00 PM: Teh Tarik Session & Photo Review

• Regroup at H&M, Lot 10 for discussion of shots taken during the walk.
• PPPC members and Leica representatives share live feedback, tips, and personal flash setups.
• Open sharing among participants on what worked, what surprised them, and how flash can redefine street storytelling.
