See Bromo in mono, where light whispers and shadows breathe. Guided by Adam Seow, Malaysia’s master of black and white, this phototrip strips colour to reveal soul. In ash and silence, you’ll learn to see beyond sight, where every frame becomes a quiet conversation between time, texture, and truth. This is no ordinary journey, but a deeper immersion into black and white; through Bromo’s hushed dawns and fading dusk, into Surabaya’s vibrant streets and traditional tofu craft. Contrast, rhythm, and nuance shape how you see, feel, and frame the world.

Day 1 (26 Sep 2026)

• Travel from KL to Surabaya (arrival before 12pm noon time)

• Surabaya to Mt Bromo (3 hours drive)

• Check-in hotel, Mt. Bromo

• If time permits, sunset photography around Mt Bromo

• Briefing by photography instructor and local guide

Day 2 (27 Sep 2026)

• Full day around Mt Bromo, for both sunrise and sunset

• Explore the morning landscape from Argowulan vantage point, this will be done by 4wd trucks and partly by motorcycle 

• Breakfast at hotel

• Photography review by instructor

• Explore the evening landscape from the sand dunes of Mt. Bromo

• Learn to see the finer art of black and white photography

Day 3 (28 Sep 2026)

• Explore the morning landscape and horses roaming at the foothills of Mt. Bromo

• Breakfast at hotel before traveling to Surabaya (3 hours drive

• Afternoon street photography at Surabaya town

• Photography review by instructor

Day 4 (29 Sep 2026)

• Breakfast at hotel

• Depart of local traditional tofu making

• Depart back for Kuala Lumpur

Traditional tofu making in Surabaya town

Things To Note:
- We will have a briefing leading up to the tour to answer and confirm any enquiries you have.
- Participants would be required to bring their own cameras—any type is welcomed.
- Wear comfortable clothing and footwear that are suitable for walking. Mt Bromo is cold in Sept (10 C and below)
- Bring notebooks or electronic devices for taking notes.
- We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if the minimum number of participants is not met. Should this occur, full refunds will be provided.
- Sunrise and sunset are subject to weather conditions
- Hotel rooms are single occupancy with king bed

We understand that plans can change, and while we hope you can join us, if you need to adjust your participation:
- By/Before 15th June  2026: You’ll receive a 50% refund.
- After 16th June 2026: Unfortunately, no refunds can be offered.
If we must cancel the event: You will receive a full refund.
