30 - 31 May | Masterclass with Greg Mo: Capturing the Moment Without Being Seen

Dive into the heart of the city as you explore the art of street photography. Learn how to compose with passers-by, capture the authenticity of urban scenes, and tell visual stories without disrupting your surroundings. This workshop will introduce you to the photographer’s discretion, silent observation, and the anticipation of the decisive moment.

By the end of the session, participants will:

• Learn how to blend into the environment to capture natural, unposed moments

• Master distance, angle, and timing in a dynamic urban setting

• Develop a narrative eye for street scenes

Day 1

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Workshop Introduction
Location: Leica Store Kuala Lumpur – Avenue K

• Participants’ portfolio review

• Presentation of Greg’s work

• Introduction to street photography

  • Definition of the genre

  • Explanation of how a photographic series is built

  • Participants define an idea for the series they will explore during the workshop

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM | Lunch Break

1:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Photography Practice
Location: Kampung Bharu

• Shooting session in Kampung Bharu

• Participants photograph individually within the same area

• Greg meets each participant individually to share insights and guidance on their series

Day 2

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Photography Practice
Location: Bukit Bintang

• Shooting session in Bukit Bintang

• Greg meets each participant individually

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM | Lunch Break

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM | Image Selection
Location: Leica Store Kuala Lumpur – Avenue K

• Participants select their images from the morning session

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Printing Session

• Greg prints the selected photographs

• Participants take a break

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Sequencing Session

• Sequencing session using the printed photographs

• All cameras are welcome.
• Minimum 4 pax to commence workshop. In the event the class is cancelled, you will be refunded accordingly.
• Maximum of 10 participants.
• No cancellation or refund upon sign-up.
