Still Life - A guided photowalk by Haziq Farhan

We’ll start with a casual meet-up at Pucks Coffee, then head to Stadium Merdeka for some slower, documentary-style shooting. As the light fades, we’ll jump on the MRT and head to Bukit Bintang, where things get louder, faster, and a little more unpredictable — perfect for experimenting with light, flash, and street storytelling.

Bring any camera you like — film, digital, phone — and if you have a flash, pack it too.

This walk is part of Haziq’s “Everyday on Film” exhibition at Leica Store Malaysia. Whether you’re new to photography or deep into it, this is a space to connect, shoot, and slow down.

Whether you’re just starting out or have years behind the lens, this session is open to all.

Haziq Farhan will choose the winner and announce It during online review session.

What To Expect:

• A slow, guided walk with Haziq Farhan, as he shares how he notices and captures the quiet, often overlooked moments in everyday life.
• Tips on working with natural light, gestures, and subtle storytelling — not about chasing the perfect shot, but about seeing differently.
• A relaxed pace that encourages observation and shooting with intention, not just reacting.
• A small group for open sharing, honest conversations, and unhurried learning.
• Film shooters, you’ll feel right at home — Haziq shoots exclusively on a Leica M6. Expect insights on metering by feel, trusting your gut, and working within film’s natural rhythm.
• In the second half of the walk (Bukit Bintang), feel free to bring a flash and experiment with light in a busier, faster environment.
• Whether you shoot film or digital, this is a chance to slow down, reflect on your process, and enjoy photography without pressure.

Photowalk Agenda

5:30 – 6:00 PM: Meet-up @ REXKL

• Introduction by Haziq Farhan & Leica Akademie team.
• Brief walk to Stadium Merdeka to begin the session. 

6:00 – 7:00 PM: Stadium Merdeka

• Explore the historic grounds and open surroundings of Stadium Merdeka.
• Focus on slower, environmental photography — look for shapes, textures, and quiet gestures.
• Haziq will guide you on observing light, waiting for moments, and shooting with more intention
  

7:00 – 7:30 PM: Commute to Bukit Bintang via MRT

• Group heads to Pasar Seni MRT, heading toward Bukit Bintang.
• Light conversation and casual review during the commute.
• Quick check-in with Haziq: what to look out for next, what to shift in your process. 

7:30 – 8:30 PM: Bukit Bintang (Night Session)

• Dive into the vibrant energy of Bukit Bintang at night — fast, unpredictable, alive.
• This is where you can bring a flash and explore new ways of creating light and contrast.
• Focus on reading gestures, anticipating motion, and reacting to light in real time. 

8:30 PM: End Session – Casual Wrap-Up

• Final group check-in and closing words by Haziq.
• Review of your favourite photos, exchange thoughts with Haziq session will conduct via online separately and will share the details on Whatsapp group.
• Details on Mini Photo Contest will be shared — best photo will get online feature.

Things to note:

• All cameras are welcome. There will be a limited selection of Leica cameras and lenses available for attendees. 
• Minimum 4 pax to commence photo outing. In the event the class is cancelled, you will be refunded accordingly.
• Maximum of 10 participants.
• No cancellation or refund upon sign-up.
